Head of Medical Affairs
Location: Beijing
-
Key Responsibilities:
-As a member of core management team, take part in the decision making of company strategy, operation SOPs, policies etc.
-Shape and drive short, mid, and long-term medical strategy for the country, including new launch and launched products.
-Lead the local medical affairs and MSLs team, develop overall direction and priorities and ensure execution via performance objectives and metrics (tracking of all medical activities, etc.)
-Provide necessary local input/support to ALK Global projects, incl. regulatory submissions and post marketing clinical studies; Act as China key contact in global medical related initiatives.
-Develop relationships with key opinion leaders, patient organisations and professional associations; Represent ALK China towards the competent authorities in medical matters.
-Ensure effective talent management, together with appropriate competencies and the right organizational structures are in place to execute the medical strategy for the country.
-Ensure compliance adherence in all medical activities and quality in the execution of all medical-related business practices on a country level; provide medical expertise to other functions.
-Ensure close cross-functional collaboration with key internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and R&D, etc. to provide medical support of related disease areas and products. Ensure cross-functional collaboration is in compliance with ALK policies.

Requirements:
-Master in medical or bioscience, PhD preferred
-Minimum 10 years’ experience in medical affairs field in MNC pharma, preferably combined with some experience within clinical development
-Solid people manager experience
-Medical experience of special care Rx, new product launch readiness preferred
-Overseas working and learning experience preferred
-Accomplished medical knowledge, with very high level of learning agility, holistic view, strong strategic thinking
-Extensive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry
-Superior interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
-Scientific/medical research experience with demonstrated record of scientific/medical publication desirable
-Deep insight of pharmaceutical industry
-Fluent in English
